Lotus: Grosjean, “You never know what can happen at Spa”
Maldonado: "It's a shame about my accident. I'm fine"
The comments of the two Lotus team drivers at the end of the two free practice sessions on Friday on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit for the Belgian Grand Prix.
Romain Grosjean: “The first practice session went well today. We had more of a challenge in FP2 with a small technical issue on the rear of the car early in the session and there was some loss of performance as a result. As this is a track that we knew would be challenging, we mainly focused on finding the level of downforce and getting the set-up right. It's likely to be a difficult weekend but we are optimizing every part of the package. You never know what can happen at Spa."
Pastor Maldonado: “I lost the car at the exit of turn nine and my afternoon was over. I'm fine and the damage to the car isn't much. I was able to determine already this morning that we have a good car here. Of course, we have the potential to fight for a good qualifying session and a good race. We struggle with our engine on the long straights, but it's better than we expected and that's a point in his favor. We are compensating with the set-up for the second sector, and see what we can do tomorrow. ”
