Lotus F1: Grosjean and Maldonado penalized in qualifying by a power delivery problem

The Lotus F1 Team endured a frustrating qualifying session at the Marina Bay Street Circuit with Pastor Maldonado qualifying in 18th position while his teammate, Romain Grosjean, is 16th on the grid for tomorrow's Singapore Grand Prix. Both drivers were hampered by power delivery issues during their qualifying laps.

Romain Grosjean: “We could have been up to P13 in today's qualifying, the car was going well and the team worked very hard all weekend. It's frustrating that I had a problem on the power side, which cost me a lot of time. Anything can happen in the race, so we'll have to see tomorrow. ”

Pastor Maldonado: “Unfortunately we had some problems and were unable to finish our qualifying lap with full power, and it penalized us a bit too much in the last sector. Normally we are more competitive with the race pace and we expect it to be the same here too. Tires can also play a decisive role in race strategy. It's a long race, the delta between all the cars is closer and this gives a good chance to do well."
