Lewis Hamilton: “The good of Mercedes comes first”

In an interview with Autosport Lewis Hamilton declared that he would never disobey Mercedes' orders to win races.

"The right decision is the one made for the team, sometimes it is necessary to take a step back on an individual level. Because an individual's decision can have repercussions on other team members“, said the three-time world champion.

Despite this, the English champion admitted that during 2015 he had some doubts about his team's strategies: “In Mexico they told me that the tires wouldn't last. However, I later discovered that the tires could have lasted and therefore I could have stayed on the track. But at that moment the team called me back to the pits for safety reasons".

"When you're in the car you don't have the complete picture of the situation, which is why you rely on the pit wall. For most of the time during the races, the team members have a clearer picture of the situation, even if every now and then this also happens to the driver“, concluded Hamilton.
