Leclerc protagonist in Monaco for the filming of "Le grand rendez-vous"
Leclerc toured Monaco with a road SF90
“Le grand rendez-vous”, the short film directed by Claude Lelouch, was shot yesterday morning at dawn in the Principality of Monaco on the day the Formula 1 Grand Prix was scheduled.
The French director's cameras closely followed the Ferrari SF90 Stradale in an adrenaline-filled lap along the same GP route, driven by Charles Leclerc at up to 240 km/h to arrive at a mysterious "big appointment".
SAS Albert II of Monaco exceptionally participated in the short film. Also present were the President of Ferrari John Elkann, Princes Andrea and Pierre Casiraghi with the latter's wife, Princess Beatrice Borromeo, as well as an audience who, thanks to the progressive easing of lockdown measures, followed the filming from the streets and balconies with the careful supervision of local authorities.
The sound of the SF90 Stradale in the streets of the Principality, where traffic was suspended to allow the potential of a car that reaches 100 km/h in 2,5 seconds to be unleashed, interrupted the long wait of fans and enthusiasts of the Prancing Horse .
The roar of the hybrid V8 engine, capable of releasing a total power of 1000 HP, was above all a message of optimism and a first sign of a restart for motorsport, cinema and social life, in the hope of overcoming the pandemic thanks to responsible, to the commitment and solidarity of all.
The presentation of the short film is scheduled for June 13th.
