The report cards of the Singapore GP

Sebastian Vettel – 10 – The usual perfect race from the German driver and it's no longer news. Too superior to his opponents and he demonstrated it again in Singapore, achieving the third consecutive success, as well as the seventh victory of the year and practically putting the World Championship in the safe (barring any last-minute surprises...). A bit monotonous… Isn't it time to change cars? Just to liven up the circus a bit…

Mark Webber – 7 – “I wonder why they all happen to me”. Never has a phrase seemed more appropriate. The moment his teammate triumphantly crosses the finish line first, he sadly parks his car off the track, exiting the scene aboard his friend Alonso's car (one of the most beautiful images of this Grand Prix). . And it's not the first time he's run into technical problems. How is it possible? If he had managed to finish the race he would have finished fourth, still almost a minute behind Seb. Here too we ask ourselves: how is this possible?

Fernando Alonso – 9.5 – The first of the mortals, because Vettel is a Martian. Another splendid comeback by Nando who starts seventh and finishes second. He can't do more, but he shows that he hasn't given up yet and with him Ferrari. There is still a small chance, the imperative is to exploit it.

Felipe Massa – 6 – You are like the starting position, you are like the arrival position. Race without infamy and without praise, as often happened to him during the year: this also had an impact on the separation from the red team from Maranello.

Kimi Raikkonen – 9.5 – Even though he is now a former Lotus driver, he behaves like a true professional, giving his all, always for the team until the end. From 13th place he climbs up to third. In Ferrari they smile with satisfaction.

Romain Grosjean – 7 – Unlucky Romain who, after the good qualifying on Saturday, hoped to be able to do well in the race. The start wasn't the best but a good placing wasn't a utopia. Too bad for the technical failure that forced him to retire.

Lewis Hamilton – 6 – We expect more from him, much more. For the entire race he always remained behind his direct opponents and played for position with Massa. If there was still any hope of aiming for the World Cup, it is now definitively closed.

Nico Rosberg – 7 – A positive race, also the result of the good qualifying on Saturday. He finished fourth ahead of his teammate, but his hopes were probably different at the start of the race, also because Vettel had a bad time for a moment. A wrong strategy causes him to miss out on the podium but fourth place is still not to be thrown away.

Jenson Button – 6.5 – The podium is close, the first podium of 2013 seems like a reality, but the dream for McLaren is dashed by terrible tire wear about ten laps from the end. In the end the British driver finished in seventh place which left a somewhat bitter taste in his mouth. We didn't expect this performance from an expert like him in tire management.

Sergio Perez – 6+ – Qualifying penalized him, but he still managed to recover positions in the race and place in the top ten. Always behind his teammate, he could have achieved something more if it weren't for the wear of the tyres.

Nico Hulkenberg – 7 – Another points race for the Sauber driver who demonstrates all his class at the wheel of a car that is certainly not very competitive. He deserves more important stages.

Esteban Gutierrez – 5.5 – He started from the top ten, ended up outside the points, outclassed by his teammate. A missed opportunity.

Adrian Sutil – 6 – He narrowly missed out on the top ten, thanks to a good comeback, taking home a precious point and taking his revenge after a few races in the background.

Paul di Resta – 4 – Bad, very bad mistake in the race when everything was going well, and it's his fault alone.

Daniel Ricciardo – 4 – Who knows how Red Bull will have reacted to the Australian driver's blow. Mistakes like his should not be made: pilot warned...

Jean-Eric Vergne – 5 – He makes no mistakes and certainly wins the comparison with his teammate, but 14th place behind Maldonado, Gutierrez and Bottas cannot and must not satisfy.

Pastor Maldonado – 6+ – Finishing 11th with this Williams is certainly a result to be proud of. He recovers two positions at the start and fights with higher-rated cars, almost reaching the points zone. Try it again Pastor. (Valtteri Bottas -5.5)

Max Chilton – 6 – This time he wins the comparison with his teammate. In a weekend characterized by balance problems and tire degradation, Chilton managed to keep at least one Caterham behind and reach the end without problems.

Jules Bianchi – 6- – A little unlucky during the race, he was unable to compete on equal terms with Chilton, but in the end he finished the race ahead of Pic's Caterham.

Giedo van der Garde – 6+ – He wins the battle with Marussia and the duel with his teammate, finishing behind Bottas. The feeling is that with a better car he could really achieve more. (Charles Pic -5)
