The report cards of the Korean GP

Sebastian Vettel – 10 – It's no longer news. Perfect race, final victory and a mortgaged World Championship. What else to add? Repetitive.

Mark Webber – sv – Who knows why they all happen to me. We had already said it, but we willingly recycle this phrase, because if bad luck (on the track, let's be clear) sees us then it has set its sights on the Australian from Red Bull who is no longer able to finish a race (and certainly not for his fault…). In Korea, Sutil put a spanner in the works by taking away the joy of a podium that even seemed possible. Sin.

Kimi Raikkonen – 10- – Luckily he has back pain, otherwise what would the good Kimi do when he no longer has anything to ask of Lotus anyway? Sample.

Romain Grosjean – 9.5 – We've always said it: if he stays out of trouble Romain can give us a lot of satisfaction and he proved it in Korea. Chapeau.

Nico Hulkenberg – 10 – The grand prix was won by Vettel, but the hero of the day is him, the Sauber driver who keeps Hamilton and Alonso behind (just to name a few...) and for now he still doesn't have a seat in view of 2014. Inconceivable !

Esteban Gutierrez – 5/6 – The other side of this Sauber which, unlike its more popular teammate, is already settled for next season. That's how it is if you like.

Fernando Alonso – 5.5 – Nando's fans don't hate it, but we really didn't like it today. Usual disappointing qualifying and this time no comeback, on the contrary, he ends the race one position behind the start; to be honest he never really manages to be competitive and, honestly, seeing him struggling behind Hulkeberg's Sauber is not a pretty sight. It was the last chance to secure the World Cup and he wasted it. Not that with this Ferrari he could actually perform the miracle but the Asturian seemed a little too compliant in Korea. Postponed.

Felipe Massa – 5 – Points aside, the Brazilian doesn't shine on the Yeongam track, in fact, he's close to knocking out his teammate. A comeback resulting from previous damage. Risk.

Lewis Hamilton – 7 – He started second and instead finished fourth, losing the duel with Hulkenberg, but kept Alonso behind him. He tries, but doesn't manage the tires in the best way, a demerit of his, and risks paying a penalty from teammate Nico Rosberg. Anonymous.

Nico Rosberg – 7 – If he hadn't had problems with his front wing, maybe we would be talking about another race. You can't win Grand Prix with yourselves and your buts, but not even with bad luck and he lives with it for a long time in Korea. Bad lucky.

Jenson Button – 6 – The season has not started under the best auspices for McLaren, but all in all Button is doing his part and with the material available he is also obtaining valuable results. An eighth place in Korea and a few points in the bag aren't so bad after all. Car aside, however, we wouldn't mind seeing it a little more aggressive. You can do it Jenson.

Sergio Perez – 6 – Unluckier than his teammate. He finishes in the points, but if the tire hadn't burst, how would the comparison with Button have ended? Try it again Perez.

Adrian Sutil – 4 – He hits Webber squarely and ends the race in last position. Bad, very bad, to forget.

Paul di Resta – 5 – di Resta's race ends with a spin on lap 26. As with his teammate, the order is to forget and start again.

Daniel Ricciardo – 6 – He starts from the back but recovers and the points zone seems within reach. Too bad for the lack of reliability that forced him to retire. Dreaming of Red Bull.

Jean-Eric Vergne – 5.5 – He too starts from the back, he too is forced to retire, but appears less combative than his teammate, and not just in Korea. Maybe Ricciardo's move to Red Bull destabilized him? He urgently needs to find himself.

Valtteri Bottas – 5/6 – He wins the comparison with his more experienced teammate both in qualifying and in the race, but still finishes outside the points, despite recovering positions compared to the start. He also suffers from what happens on the track during the race. But… It's not enough.

Pastor Maldonado – 5+ – Despite a good start, the Venezuelan was unable to do better than 13th place. The safety car affected him a bit, but for the whole weekend he was unable to keep up with… Bottas.

Charles Pic – 5 – Three warnings in Korea and a 10-place penalty in Japan. It matters little for ranking purposes since the rear is now the Frenchman's natural habitat.

Giedo van der Garde – 5+ – As Pic did his duty, finishing ahead of the Marussias, it was a shame about the drive-through at the start which perhaps affected the outcome of his race.

Jules Bianchi – 4/5 – Penalties also in sight for him, as for Pic, at Suzuka. Used to fighting and doing well, his excessive enthusiasm and desire to do well betray him. Punished.

Max Chilton – 4/5 – Once again he finishes behind Bianchi and he too receives a reprimand. Only the safety car prevented him from being lapped. Yet another disappointment.
