The 10 Pillars of the 2010 Abu Dhabi GP

The 10 Pillars of the 2010 Abu Dhabi GP

Third appointment with the "Pills", which marks the end of 2010 after a very delicate race which gave the World Championship to Sebastian Vettel.

On the cover, Lewis Hamilton's mocking smile on the podium...are you thinking of three years earlier?

1 – Sebastian Vettel aka Baby Champion:
He will probably be released from the local hospital with the index fingers of both hands splinted, from making "ones". From Baby Schumi, to Baby Kimi, back to Baby Schumi. World champion at 23 years old. Virtually, due to the Korean engine, he has won the last four races. World Cup redemption after a few bad mistakes and a lot of bad luck.

2 – Lewis Hamilton:
We had suggested to him, in the last Pills, to start behind the Ferrari n°8. He didn't listen to us, but this time it went well. For this race they equipped the Mclaren with NOS just to make him smile on the podium, in revenge for Alonso's laughter in 2007. He smashes two cameras on the pylons that border the track, Bernie will present him with a very heavy invoice.

3 – Jenson Button:
After being robbed in Brazil during the pit to change tires, this time he really doesn't want to follow the strategy. He refuses to change to the softs until Lap 39, when he starts spinning directly on the rims. He stops only because of too much noise from them on the asphalt.

4 – Fernando Alonso:
He loses the World Championship with philosophy, even paying "compliments" to Petrov for keeping him behind without giving in for more than half the race.

Once he doesn't make a mistake, they think about the wall to complete the job. Crazy.

5 – Mark Webber:
They all complained (even us) about the lack of teamwork to favor him in the World Cup. Instead, teamwork arrives, but in Vettel's favor and in the form of a trap. He scrapes a circle on the guardrail and rushes into the pits, sending the Ferrari wall into a tailspin. Other than "Fernando is faster than you", this is a real fantasy to help your partner.

6 – Michael Schumacher:
The “Traitor” will now be blamed for the Safety Car that got Ferrari into trouble. He gets away with it (fortunately) after the risk of being beheaded by our Vitantonio, now we'll see if he will get away with the accusations of match-fixing from the (alleged) Ferrari fans.

7 – Destruction Derby aka Vitantonio Liuzzi:
It's not really his fault if he destroyed yet another Force India (and it wasn't even his fault in Brazil and Japan), but he must have read, with envy, our Pillars regarding Vitaly Petrov's next employment as a tester for EuronCap. A bit of Baby Kimi too.

8 – Vitaly Petrov:
He earned, with just one race, the Renault seat for the next twenty years thanks to the favor given to his engineer at the expense of Fernando. On the obverse it seems to have, in addition to the f-duct, also the Kers. At the end of the race he receives compliments (above) from the Ferrarista for his excellent performance..

9 – Felipe Massa:
The Ferrari World roller coaster goes from 0 to 240 km/h in less than 4 seconds. Evidently having tried them on Thursday took away the adrenaline needed to face the weekend. From the break onwards he remained behind Algersuari. It was only Schumacher who couldn't pass a Toro Rosso...

10 – Nico Rosberg:
He induces the old Kraut to make a mistake just after the start by making him spin (and almost behead him), goes off to change the tires by equipping himself with an invisible shield (together with Petrov) which everyone sees anyway except the Ferrari wall, and calmly arrives in fourth place behind the uncatchable.

Out of Competition – Bern Mailander:
The Mailander-Liuzzi company also gives some laps of glory to the Safety Car driver today, who places himself behind the two HRTs in the drivers' standings. On a negative note, the Safety Car cannot be resold as 0km this year.

SPECIAL MENTIONS

1 – “80-90% chance of winning the World Cup”:
After Alonso's third place in qualifying, a wave of general optimism was unleashed within Ferrari and among journalists with phrases similar to "half the world in your pocket" and "Kaput Red Bull". And here is the result. Yet 2007 and 2008 should have taught us something. Stronger than “Pressure”.

2 – Ferrari World Abu Dhabi:
This evening they hoped to celebrate the two World Championship titles, but instead from tomorrow it will be completely dismantled and moved to Interlagos, in place of Barrichello's grandparents' house, in the hope that Alonso can bring home his third title there in 2011. costing millions of Euros.

See you next year with the “Pills”.
