Less than two weeks ago, although the news had not been officially confirmed by Mercedes, it really looked like the signature of Hamilton had arrived on the renewal with the Germans.
Now, however, it seems that the interminable saga has not actually seen the end yet.

Niki Lauda he had assured that he did not want to arrive in Spain with the issue still open. Now, the new deadline seems to have been postponed to Monaco, scheduled for the weekend of May 24th.

After i rumors they wanted Hamilton hesitant, torn between staying with the Three-Pointed Star or evaluating a future move to Maranello, it actually seemed that the reigning world champion had finally decided to renew for another three years with those of Stuttgart, for the phantasmagoric figure of one hundred and thirty-three million dollars.

Yet, once again the Mercedes boss had to reassure the press on the matter: "There is no problem," he declared Lauda to the news agency APA. “I expect an announcement before Monte Carlo – two weeks after Barcelona therefore – perhaps even before.”
