Lauda accuses Hamilton of lacking charisma
On the occasion of his sixtieth birthday, Niki Lauda wanted to release a comparison between the drivers of his era and those of today, taking into consideration the current world champion Lewis Hamilton. The Austrian three-time world champion certainly does not have a good opinion of the McLaren driver, so much so that he considers him lacking in charisma and personality.
"Today's drivers race go-karts until they are 18, then they arrive in Formula One and don't know how to do anything other than press the accelerator and turn a steering wheel. In my time the risk of dying was a reality. Today a A 22-year-old driver like Hamilton hardly develops a personality, in fact the only charisma he can find is in his girlfriend Scherzinger."
