Thailand would like to host an F1 Grand Prix
di alessandra5 September 2011
Thailand is the latest country to join the list of contenders eager to enter the ever-expanding F1 calendar.
The Bangkok Post said it was trying to officially promote the country. The agency that takes care of it, with Akapol Sorasuchart at the summit, he declared that business calls for Thailand to organize ever bigger events in order to improve and revive its reputation.
“Building an F1 circuit is very expensive, but it is always useful, even when the race is over,” said Akapol.
“I think city racing is also good for Thailand, because it would be a smaller investment.”
