Sauber ready to reuse Nasr's discarded chassis
The Brazilian had complained about the lack of competitiveness from his C35
After China Nasr he had publicly complained about the inconsistency of his C35 compared to that of his hated teammate Ericsson and for this reason Sauber had satisfied him by sending him on track in Sochi with a brand new chassis.
However, having not noticed any defects in form and substance on the discarded piece, the Hinwil team planned to bring it back into fashion.
“We have checked it and it does not present any malfunctions so we will most likely use it later in the season” – the boss confirmed to motorsport.com Monisha Kaltenborn.
“What happened, however, does not create any problems for us. We had planned to use three chassis in this championship and so it will go. The fact is that a Felipe we immediately reported that it had no major imperfections, however it is the driver who drives and if he has doubts we must give him credit".
