Red Bull wants a long-term deal with Vettel
di F1 editorial team12 May, 2009
Red Bull is aiming to secure the services of Seabstain Vettel in the long term. Team boss Christian Horner admitted it. The German's contract with the energy drink company will expire at the end of 2010.
"We see our future with Sebastian. We want to improve and expand our team around him," Horner told Sport Bild.
Among the teams interested in Vettel are certainly BMW and McLaren Mercedes while Bernie Ecclestone has openly declared that he would like to see him at the wheel of Ferrari.
"Sebastian feels at ease with us. If we give him a car capable of fighting at the top, he will have no reason to go anywhere else" concluded Horner.
