Red Bull would like to test the alternative screen to Halo in Sochi
Milton Keynes has proposed that the FIA test its safety solution as soon as possible
Red Bull is accelerating the development of its own protective screen, an alternative safety idea to the famous Halo (halo) already tested in winter tests on Ferrari.
The FIA has wanted to protect drivers' heads since 2017 and seems intent on giving the "green" to the much criticized (especially from an aesthetic point of view) Halo. Red Bull has already proposed its alternative to the Federation, namely a semi-open aeronautical-style screen.
The RBR "screen" will in any case be tested at the factory next week, when a high-speed tire will be shot on it. This was confirmed by Chris Horner on Sky UK. The Red Bull team principal added"If our test is successful, we could already mount the fairing on the single-seater for a test in Sochi."
