Red Bull announces agreement with TAG-Heuer

Mansour Ojjeh, still a McLaren shareholder, becomes an important sponsor of Milton Keynes. Ron Dennis increasingly alone

Red Bull announces agreement with TAG-Heuer

The real news is that Mansour Ojjeh, owner of TAG and 25% of McLaren, will sponsor a direct rival from Woking. Red Bull has in fact announced the agreement with the famous Swiss watch company TAG-Heuer, an agreement which among other things confirms how tense and compromised the relations between the Franco-Saudi businessman and Ron Dennis are, after having been good partners for more than thirty years.

McLaren appears increasingly alone, abandoned by its sponsors and with Ron Dennis who - according to rumors - is creating a void around himself. Red Bull, on the other hand, wants to relaunch itself in a big way, and this sponsorship agreement with a company that has always been active in the Circus and of a certain importance is decisive proof in this sense.

Milton Keynes will almost certainly race with the Renault engine again in 2016 and the engine could be calledi TAGS – NISSAN, inserting the new sponsor in the name of the engine together with the Japanese manufacturer which would thus reappear, at least formally, in F1. In any case the "drinks” they have real battle intentions, at least if you read the tweet with which they announced the closure of the agreement with TAG-Heuer: “Swiss engineering to close the gap next season"
