Mercedes wants to be the supplier of the standard KERS

In addition to BMW, Mercedes is also interested in supplying the standard KERS for F1 next year. FIA president Max Mosley is not too keen on the idea of having a unified KERS, but BMW is said to want to propose to FOTA the adoption of a single system starting next year. BMW Sauber isn't even using KERS for now on either car, a strategy that doesn't make much sense according to Mercedes boss Norbert Haug.
In Stuttgart on Tuesday Haug was "surprised" that despite BMW's enthusiasm for the new system only McLaren-Mercedes is totally committed to bringing KERS to all races. On the possibility of a standard KERS he said: "We would be interested in being the supplier."
