McLaren sends back to Barcelona
An updated package is expected for the second round of testing
McLaren Test Jerez – Although new problems also ruined the last day at Jerez de la Frontera, namely an oil leak in the morning and the fuel supply in the afternoon, the McLaren-Honda can go home with some positive notes in the notebook.
Meanwhile, having managed to complete 79 laps, a great result considering the difficulties of the past few days, secondly having completed a large part of the aerodynamic analysis programme, as well as several long runs.
“Unfortunately, due to small faults we were often forced into the pits – the chief of engineers summed up the week Matt morris – Even today there were some unexpected stops but we did what we had to and collected a lot of useful data. At the end of the session Button appeared confident, so we hope to do better in Barcelona where we will bring a refined and updated package."
