The Marussia will not have the "step" on the nose

Like the McLaren, the front will have a more streamlined line

The new car from Marussia for 2012 it will not have the step on the nose.

All teams on the grid, including theHRT which has yet to present the car for 2012, have interpreted the new rules on the body with, in fact, an uncomfortable "step" on the nose.

The only exception so far has been the Mclaren.

But Auto Motor und Sport reports that the Marussia, which will be revealed for the first time next week in Barcelona, will have a more streamlined aerodynamic shape.

The former Virgin worked in collaboration with Mclaren, using the wind tunnel of the Woking team.

“In fact, there is a small theoretical difference between the two solutions. So we decided not to take risks with something unknown to us,” said a member of the Russian team.

Timo Glock he has already driven the new Marussia without steps on the Mclaren simulator.

“We don't have much experience with the simulator but I hope it's correct, but we shouldn't be too optimistic — but I'm not saying I'm disappointed,” said Glock.

“I believe we have a good base on which to progress. We were looking for the various errors on the previous car for a long time to try to resolve them" added the German driver.
