Lotus tried DRD

On Friday the Lotus carried out an aerodynamic test on the straight of Duxford airport, in England (famous for being the site of the accident which caused the Marussia tester Maria de Villota to lose an eye) with the reserve David Valsecchi behind the wheel.

According to what was reported by F1i.com, the Italian would have tried the DRD again, a drag reduction system, which includes two slits on the sides of the air intake to convey the flow towards the rear and thus generate downforce without any intervention from the driver.
