Lotus warns: 'F1 needs help'

The costs of yet another regulatory revolution that will affect the Circus in 2017, the possible entry of independent motorists and the financial instability that hovers in the teams and among the organizers of the various races on the calendar are causing a lot of headaches for the team managers.

Among the most worried is the deputy boss of the Lotus Federico Gastaldi who raised the alarm via Autosport.

“F1 absolutely must review its business model because economic problems are taking over both within the teams and among the promoters of the grand prix with the risk of crushing the sport – his words – ecclestone , FIA they are working hard to change things but the situation is not always easy to manage given that the instinct of self-preservation often prevails over the collective interest”.
