Force India confirms Liuzzi in place of Fisichella

Force India announced this morning that reserve driver, Tonio Liuzzi, will replace Giancarlo Fisichella, who has moved to Ferrari, for the Italian Grand Prix. Liuzzi has contested 39 Grands Prix but has not raced since 2007, when he lost his starting role at Toro Rosso. The Italian, who arrived as a test driver in the Silverstone team last year, will almost certainly contest the remaining races of the 2009 world championship and will also be a starter in 2010.
"This will be Tonio's chance to demonstrate to the team and F1 his skills, his speed and his professionalism, and I am sure he will exploit this opportunity" declared team boss, Vijay Mallya.
