Ferrari still wants a third car for Schumacher

Ferrari continues to push to have a third car for Michael Schumacher in 2010. After the withdrawals of BMW and Toyota, the uncertainties about Renault and the words of contempt uttered several times by the Maranello team towards the new entries, Luca di Montezemolo has renewed his campaign for a change in the regulation.

“This is perhaps the opportunity to have a third car per team,” the Ferrari president told the Bild newspaper. “I'll do everything I can. And of course we think of Michael Schumacher for our third car.”

At the same time, despite having given up on replacing Felipe Massa at Ferrari after the Brazilian's accident, Schumacher does not rule out the possibility of returning to the grid in the future.

“Let's put it this way, I don't see any reason why I should confirm or deny anything,” the seven-time world champion told Gulf news.

However, Sir Frank Williams doubts the German's true intentions.

“Impossible,” said the Briton, who believes Schumacher decided not to return this year because he underestimated his physical appearance.
