The two teams join Sauber which had already passed the impact tests at the beginning of the month

The monocoques of two other 1 F2013 cars have passed mandatory FIA crash tests. According to Auto Motor und Sport one of them is the Mercedes W04 which will be entrusted next year to Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.

The article states that the new Silver Arrow will have a new, more compact gearbox and totally new sides designed to exploit the Coanda effect of the exhausts. In addition, the new Mercedes will have rear suspensions which will offer the technicians greater flexibility in terms of geometry to make the most of the new Pirelli tyres.

According to El Mundo Deportivo the new Ferrari also passed the crash tests. Earlier this month Sauber was the first team to announce that it had passed FIA crash tests with its new car, the C32.
