Ferrari is the team with the most reliable car

You wouldn't think so from the two world championship rankings, yet Ferrari is the team with the best reliability this 2010.

The F10 driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa completed 1471 of the 1474 total laps in these twelve races, 98 laps more than those completed by Red Bull. However, at the moment we find the Italian team third in the constructors' standings (with a large point gap from the top) and Fernando Alonso, the top driver, fifth with twenty points behind the first.

Red Bull, which is leading the championship, has collected the most victories and pole positions despite recording two breakdowns and one accident among its drivers.

Mercedes is the only team in which drivers have not retired due to accidents, while McLaren, its "engine cousin", had to deal with two technical failures and an accident.

Among the top teams, Renault is the black sheep with four technical problems and two retirements due to accidents to its credit.

Among the new teams, Virgin led with eleven withdrawals due to technical failures, Sauber with ten, Lotus with nine and HRT with eight, the most reliable team among the debuting teams.
