The Schumacher family sues the German magazine Bunte

The Schumacher family, on behalf of their lawyer Felix Damm, sued the German magazine Bunte who in December last year published a piece in which he stated how the seven-time world champion had started walking again following the rehabilitation therapies he is undergoing in his villa in Gland in Switzerland.

"Schumacher still can't walk, untruthful reports have been released” Damm said in legal proceedings, thus continuing to protect the privacy of the German champion's health conditions, which has been overtaken in recent years by widespread speculation.

Damm's clear and precise statement follows what Sabine Kehm – Michael Schumacher's historic spokesperson – said in recent months: “SWe are forced to clarify that the statement regarding Michael's situation is not true. Given the severity of his injuries, privacy is very important to Michael. Unfortunately it is not correct to give false hope to the people involved in this matter".
