Kobayashi penalized five places on the grid
di Staff31 July 2010
Kamui Kobayashi was penalized five places on the grid after qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix for ignoring the stewards' call for scrutineering during Q1. The Sauber driver had been called back to the weight control but the Japanese driver did not see the red light in the pitlane and returned to the pits normally.
Consequently Kobayashi will start from 23rd position tomorrow.
“I went through the red light and missed the call to the FIA garage. I just didn't see it,” Kobayashi said.
