Jerome d'Ambrosio: racing in difficult situations satisfies you more

We all know it: it's one thing to debut in F1 on a rocket like a Red Bull and another thing to do it on a Virgin which seems to be worse than the previous year. The season that d'Ambrosio, a 25-year-old Belgian with clear Italian origins, is preparing to compete in is certainly not easy and despite the pay he took in qualifying from Glock, he is more motivated than ever.

“Melbourne was a good starting point, maybe not from a performance point of view, but I've learned a lot already, so I'm looking forward to Sepang. In Kuala Lumpur I have already driven in the GP2 Asia series races and the structure of the circuit is quite interesting and technical but the most exciting part is the physical challenge that we are preparing to face: as I see it, the greatest satisfactions come from more effort. As a team, we need to improve on all levels, but we will try to bring both cars to the end of the race, another small step before the European season."
