Jean Todt was officially re-elected president of the FIA ​​for the second time. The re-election, already expected for weeks, became official after the official general assembly of the FIA ​​in Paris.

The Frenchman had no opponent since the only aspirant to the role of president, David Ward, had decided to abandon the presidential race after failing to secure support for the election.

Todt will then head the International Automobile Federation for another four years. Before starting his career in motorsport politics, Todt held a management role first at Peugeot, with the Sportscar program of the French company, and then at Ferrari with the F1 team, bringing the Maranello company back to success.
