Jean Alesi: “Kvyat's mistakes? Result of pressure from Red Bull"
The Frenchman points the finger at the policy used in Milton Keynes
According to Jean Alesi, one of the causes that led Daniil Kvyat to cause the accident with Sebastian Vettel is attributable to the policy adopted by Red Bull towards its young drivers: "Kvyat he's a good boy – the former Ferrari driver told French broadcaster Canal Plus – but unfortunately he is under pressure. He, Ricciardo, Verstappen and Sainz are four excellent drivers. It is also added to them Pierre Gasly, who is waiting his turn to make his F1 debut. I repeat, everyone is put under pressure and is led to go to the maximum to try to be confirmed".
Returning to the Sochi accident, Alesi was not kind to the Russian Red Bull driver: “In my opinion, Sebastian was rammed in an incomprehensible way, yesIt seems that Kvyat was thinking of something else at the time. He wasn't clear-headed." For Alesi, the punishment given by the race direction to the driver from Milton Keynes was too lenient: "If we give ten seconds for such a maneuver, how can we set the limit in a maneuver?”.
