International Challenge of Go-Kart Champs: Victory for Alguersuari

The sixth edition of the International Challenge of Go-Kart Champs, the traditional end-of-season charity event, organized by Felipe Massa at the Arena Sapiens in Florianopolis, Brazil, ended with the victory of Toro Rosso driver Jaime Alguersuari.

The two heats were won by Jules Bianchi, who was then disqualified after the second race due to the weight of his kart which was considered non-regulatory because it was 600g lower than what was required by the regulations. Despite this, the French driver, making his debut in the challenge of the stars, remains the moral winner of the Florianopolis event, where he demonstrated all his talent, holding his own against highly experienced drivers and champions of the present and past of Formula 1 and IndyCar.

Alguersuari, second in both heats, gained the highest number of points after Bianchi's disqualification (45), ahead of the host Felipe Massa on the podium, second with 29 and Lucas Di Grassi, who won the medal. bronze with 28 points.
