The future of the Australian GP is uncertain
The government is asking for the registration fee to be reduced

The push and pull continues between Bernie Ecclestone and the organizers of the Australian GP for the reconfirmation of the test on the calendar.
The government of the country, which is in charge of the financing, has in fact repeatedly asked the Supreme of the Circus to lower the registration fees as well as greater flexibility in the commitment times to no more than two seasons, receiving so far only two of spades.
“I am quite confident, but it is a work in progress – the words of the prime minister Danis Napthine to the local newspaper Age – I believe the race has done a lot of good in Melbourne and Victoria, so it would be nice to continue hosting it, however the interests of the citizens come first."
