After entering the F1 calendar, the organizers of the Russian Grand Prix - a race that has been held in Sochi since 2014, on the route created by joining the roads adjacent to the Olympic village - would also have guaranteed themselves a title sponsor.
The news was reported by Sportbox. According to this Russian source, the organizers have already installed billboards for the new sponsor along the 5,8 kilometers of the route. The sponsor in question would be Lukoil, the second largest Russian oil company, which is based in Moscow.
