Michael Schumacher's son made his single-seater debut

The 15-year-old allegedly carried out a test in a Formula 4

Michael Schumacher's son made his single-seater debut

Little by little, Michael Schumacher's son is pursuing the career that led his father to win seven Drivers' World Championships in Formula 1, two with Benetton (1994-1995) and five with Ferrari (2000-2004). According to rumors reported by some Austrian newspapers, the son of the former Ferrari driver, who grew up professionally under the pseudonym of Mick Junior, could soon leave the world of karting to move on to single-seaters.

Again according to the Austrian media, just in the last few days, the 15-year-old would have carried out a secret test on one Formula 4 single-seater in Valencia: “Mick is certainly a talent, but you can't say that a good kart driver will definitely be fast in a Formula 1 – underlined Peter Mucke – It's not always good to have a big name when you're a driver. You have to be fast. After just one day of testing it is impossible to make a complete assessment of Mick."

But to see the son of art in a single-seater you will have to still wait: the Formula 4 test carried out this week should be the prelude to a possible debut for Mick Jr in the series, starting since 2016, following another karting season.
