The Jerez circuit out of winter testing

The news had been in the air for months and now, although confirmation is lacking, it seems to have become reality. Jerez de la Frontera will no longer host the F1 winter tests which will therefore be the prerogative of Barcelona alone.

According to what was reported by Auto Motor und Sport, to reduce costs it was decided to go from three to two sessions of four days of testing, most likely scheduled for March 1st.

The eleven teams registered for the 2016 world championship, including Haas, would in fact have signed up to the move of the inaugural race in Melbourne to April.

Finally on the Pirelli front, the tire supplier would have requested a session at the end of the current championship in a hot location such as Bahrain, in which a team from the top or at most from the middle of the group should participate, and one towards February at the Paul Ricard to check the behavior of the wet tyres.
