Hulkenberg: “We will only discover our potential in Melbourne”

Nico Hulkenberg said he was very satisfied with the first laps carried out on the VJM08, the single-seater with which Vijay Mallya's Scuderia will take part in the next Formula One world championship. The German from Force India took the new "baby" of the Indian team to its debut, completing 70 laps at the end of the first day of work. A very interesting afternoon where the car, despite the obvious design delays, managed to perform well in the comparison with Sauber and Lotus.

Nico will be back on track tomorrow to test the VJM08 in race configuration.

Here are the words of Nico Hulkenberg: “I guess we will only discover our potential in Melbourne. If we had more time to test the car in all its configurations it would be better, but this is the situation and we will deal with it as best we can. We can't do anything else. The runs completed today partially satisfied us, even if we weren't able to try everything we had set out to do."

“We have to do all the necessary checks and we know how far behind we are, but we have an excellent team and we learn quite quickly. In this case we did it and now we will see where we are in Melbourne. It won't be easy but we certainly won't give up." he concluded.
