Hulkenberg: “Missed opportunity to get on the podium”
The German from Force India finished sixth but would have liked more
If Lewis Hamilton won the Monaco GP, the moral winner of the daring race in the Principality was Force India. Third with Sergio Perez, Vijay Mallya's team also hit the group of ten with Nico Hulkenberg, 6th.
“Although I managed to get into the points, I'm not particularly happy. We got the timing of the first pit stop wrong, a mistake that made me lose positions and get stuck in traffic – revealed the German – It was frustrating because I had a top 3 pace. Unfortunately, racing is also this, especially on tracks like Monte Carlo ”.
“In the end, coming out of the last corner, I at least managed to pass Rosberg despite the very worn tires and the drizzle which made everything more complicated – he continued in the analysis – Given the good behavior of the car and the positive sensations I missed one important opportunity."
