Hulkenberg: “I felt in harmony with the car”
The German will start seventh, while Perez's other Force India is only sixteenth
Australia's qualifications between joys and sorrows for the Force India. In fact, if on the one hand there is the beautiful seventh position of Hulkenberg, on the other figure the disappointing sixteenth of Perez.
“Today's result is good news – said Nico – Everything worked perfectly and I had fun. It was the first time I drove this car in the wet and I immediately found myself at ease on both the intermediate and wet tires. I felt really in harmony with the VJM07 and the team did a great job not to let me get caught in traffic. Tomorrow will be a leap into the unknown, but I think I'm properly prepared and can aim for the points."
“It wasn't an easy session, especially Q2. Unfortunately I wasn't able to do a good ride in the wet - the reflection of Sergio – I couldn't find space and when I went into the pits to change tires I should have stayed on the track instead. In any case, once I exited, at turn 3, I reached the rear lock, I lost control and was no longer able to continue. In short, not quite what I expected, but tomorrow I will have a new chance and I will try to enter the top 10."
