Hulkenberg and Perez chasing the result

One of the unknowns of the Australian GP will certainly be Force India, protagonist of a longer than necessary hibernation this winter. Only turned on during the last round of testing in Barcelona VJM08 it could therefore turn out to be a surprise.

“The first race is always special because you discover the potential of the car and you compete on an equal footing with the others – the consideration of Nico Hulkenberg – Albert Park is also a fantastic track, full of interesting sections such as the one between turns 9 and 12, the slow chicane that leads to the straight and the fast left-right combination. It also has some good overtaking points, but a lot depends on the level of tire degradation. Here the downforce is essential and is the aspect we focus on when choosing the set-up. Except last year when I finished in seventh place, I never managed to see the finish line, so I hope to get a good result."

“Melbourne is one of my favorite events due to the city, the circuit and the position on the calendar – the words of Sergio Perez -The track is considered a city track but given the speeds reached it is difficult to see it as such even if the walls are quite close. Making the perfect turn is very complicated, in particular the initial change of direction is quite technical and it is difficult to find the right apex point.
