Hulkenberg: “Quite happy with seventh place”

Disturbed by the red flag that arrived on lap 18 due to the accident of Alonso and Gutierrez, the Force India collected less than hoped in the season opener in Australia.

Out of points with Perez, the team of Vijay Mallya however, she managed to gather something with Hulkenberg.

“I'm happy to have entered the top ten despite the red flag making our one-stop strategy less effective. Unfortunately this unexpected event kept me stuck behind Grosjean's Haas and constantly under pressure from my rivals close behind. This is also why seventh place isn't bad" – the thoughts of Nico who used soft and medium.

“At the start I lost a couple of positions and in the initial stint I remained behind Alonso who had the decidedly better performing supersofts. After the suspension I had the same problem with Button – the analysis of Sergio, 13th – Unfortunately I was never able to get close to Williams and Renault, also I had to defend myself from attacks from those behind. In the end I found myself with overheated brakes due to too much traffic. It was good to have finished the race, but I can't be satisfied given the good outcome of yesterday's qualifying."
