HRT: a difficult qualification, but with some improvements

It was certainly a challenging qualifying for the two HRT drivers, Vitantonio Liuzzi e Narain karthikeyan, but some slight steps forward seem to have been made, thanks to a new speaker. The opponents close to HRT no longer seem so far away.

Narain karthikeyan, 23rd: “I had some problems with the heating of my first set of tires and something changed in the car between yesterday and today. My left front wheel locked up when I braked harder, so I lost a bit of time there, but apart from all that, we're both very close to our closest rivals. I've made some progress in the last few races, I'm only a tenth away from Tonio, after five and a half years away from Formula One, it's a good feeling to be so close. I need more inspiration, which will come as the season progresses."

Vitantonio Liuzzi, 21st: “It will be an interesting Sunday. We demonstrated today that we have taken a step forward; we are practically ahead of our closest competitors and we will have a good race tomorrow. The race might be in the rain, so it might be different to what we expected, but it will definitely be more exciting and we will have to push to get the most out of the car. 107% is no longer a problem for me, in a circuit where KERS and DRS make the difference, we have to focus on beating our rivals. The new speaker seems to work well, but we still have to get the best out of it. It will take a few races to optimize it, we need to understand the system better to make it work better in the future."
