HRT, Narain Karthikeyan will race the Indian GP

The HRT Formula 1 team has confirmed that Narain Karthikeyan will return behind the wheel at the Indian Grand Prix. Karthikeyan will also be behind the wheel in free practice for the Singapore GP in preparation for his home race.

“It's certainly a great feeling to be racing on a race weekend again, the team had assured me that I would be driving in my home race when they replaced me after the European GP.”

The 34-year-old Indian lost his starting seat to Red Bull protégé Daniel Ricciardo before Silverstone but knew he would get another chance at the Indian GP on October 30.

“It's great to have Narain behind the wheel again, he will have time to prepare before racing the Indian GP” said Colin Kolles. “He is India's best rider and is undoubtedly extremely talented, as he has demonstrated with his progress this season.”
