HRT, Liuzzi: “We can be positive for the rest of the weekend in Montreal”

Test day for the HRT team in free practice for the Canadian Grand Prix. The Spanish team has tested several new components that should improve the overall performance of the car.

Vitantonio Liuzzi – Pos 22:
“Overall, today wasn't a bad day. We had a lot of things to try. The aerodynamic update, the new exhaust, our new “Montreal rear wing”. We found that we improved our overall balance and speed, now we need to work on fine-tuning the exhaust system. I'm happy to take another step forward in our race against our closest rivals and I think qualifying tomorrow will be interesting. I enjoyed some long runs today and it looks like the car is even better for the race than in qualifying. Overall we can be positive about the rest of the weekend.”

Narain Karthikeyan – Pos 23:
“Today we had a lot of new parts on the car: the diffuser and the rear wing which was made specifically for this circuit, among others, so we have to fine-tune this. But it's a positive step. We need to find a good balance and mechanical grip for tomorrow, because it is necessary to save the tires here, the circuit is harsh on the rear tyres, so we need to be careful and work on that. Tomorrow we have to wait and see what the weather conditions will be and hopefully we will improve from here.”
