Horner: “Renault will not use tokens before the Russian Grand Prix”

Despite the numerous reliability problems that have emerged in recent months, Renault has no intention of using "tokens" before the Russian Grand Prix, the fourth to last round of this 2015 Formula One world championship.

The French engineer, according to Christian Horner, wants to deepen some studies on the new unit that is currently running on the bench and for this reason, Red Bull and Toro Rosso will not be able to count on these important developments for the upcoming events in Spa and Monza. A rather curious choice which confirms Renault's clear change in approach with the arrival of Mario Illien.

Around Viry Chatillion they no longer want to make blunders like those at the beginning of the season and therefore they are trying to get the most out of the remaining chips for this championship.

Here are the words of Christian Horner: “I don't think there is anything planned before the Sochi city race. That should be the time we see some development made by Renault with the use of tokens. Until that date we will have to go with the only unit we have available at the moment."
