Horner: “We limited the damage”

Christian horner he admits Mercedes' exceptional state of form but looks to the future with optimism given the already quite substantial recovery of his team Red Bull in just three races.

“I think that in Bahrain the German single-seaters showed off their true pace – commented the team principal to Autosport – The track was definitely favorable to their engine and in fact at a certain point the top seven all had the same engine. As far as we're concerned, we did the best we could. The performance of Ricciardo, who started thirteenth and finished just a whisker away from the podium, was fantastic, while Vettel always had difficulties and suffered from a lack of power during the race, so all in all being in the points with both of them helped us limit the damage. However, the signs are encouraging, especially if you look at how much we have recovered from our direct opponents."
