Haug: “Ferrari's strategy on the diffuser is not bad”

Norbert Haug praised Ferrari for the speed with which the Maranello team managed to integrate the blown air diffuser into its 2010 car. Mercedes, McLaren and Renault had serious problems implementing the Red Bull-style rear end setup in their last races.

But Ferrari, now the team closest to the world leaders in terms of performance, has introduced its version in several phases, starting with the Valencia race in June.

Even in Hungary, last weekend, the exhaust gases were still expelled onto the upper part of the diffuser and the final version of the same, which should bring greater advantages, will only be used at Spa, in the next race.

“Maybe Ferrari wasn't wrong in avoiding rushing things,” Haug told Auto Motor und Sport.

Meanwhile, Robert Kubica has denied that Renault is still suffering from a loss of power due to attempts to use the new diffuser.

“The problems have been solved. We are returning to our usual efficiency” added the Pole.
