Hamilton: “We want to be number one”

Best time trial for Lewis Hamilton in both sessions on Friday a Barcelona. The pilot of Mercedes has returned to dominate the scene, also thanks to the important updates developed on its W08, which for now are giving the desired results. However, the British driver also had to face some difficulties, dealing with a slippery track and a lot of wind.

“Free Practice 1 went really well, but in the afternoon session the track changed a lot: it was slippery and much slower for everyone, especially with the gusts of wind,” he explained Hamilton at the end of the day. “It was very challenging but fun at the same time. The team has done an incredible job with the updates and the car works exactly as we expected. It was a much better start than in Sochi, so I'm very happy. We just have to stay focused and keep working: we want to be number one!”, concluded the three-time world champion.
