Hamilton: “Vettel was untouchable on the final lap”

Lewis Hamilton he doesn't think he could have beaten Sebastian Vettel in qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix, not even if he had done a perfect lap.

Vettel scored the tenth pole of the year with a gap of half a second, although Red Bull has not been very strong at this track in recent years.

“I didn't have another half second” declared Hamilton “We had a handful of tenths. The guys have done a fantastic job in bringing new components to this circuit and we are very competitive."

Although the Englishman appeared disappointed at the young German's superiority in qualifying, Hamilton admitted that he was happy to at least be on the front row competing for the victory, trying to make up for the accident at Spa.
