Hamilton: “Red Bulls unbeatable”

Lewis Hamilton seemed resigned at the end of qualifying for the Spanish GP. The Englishman obtained third position on the grid behind the two Red Bulls of Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel but had a gap of almost a second.

“The old circuit is still there, I could use the old curves to reach and overtake them, otherwise not!” he responded to those who asked him about the chances of overtaking the Red Bulls.

“They did a double in qualifying, with a one second advantage. But we will continue to push, preserving the tyres. We were closer in the last few races. I think we will be closer in the race, we'll see by how much."

“F1 is the queen category, nothing is easy. They just worked better. We are the second team, we can't complain too much. I hope that at some point we will have a significant improvement on the car so that we can race adequately against these guys" added Hamilton who downplayed the disadvantage of starting with a set of tires presumably damaged by a lockup: "I can start with these tires then we can rebalance the steering wheel so it shouldn't be a problem."
