Hamilton and Webber met with the stewards about the use of DRS in the wet

Lewis Hamilton e Mark Webber they met the commissioners after free practice on Friday. The English driver is certainly not the first time he has met the stewards this year, but this time the meeting was not to punish him in any way.

The reason for this meeting was about the use of DRS in the wet. At the moment, according to the rules, drivers cannot use the tool on a wet track, but Hamilton used the DRS on the Hangar Straight with slick tyres.

“The reason I went to the stewards was that we wanted to discuss the correct use of DRS in wet conditions” explained the 2008 World Champion.

“The rules don't clearly indicate whether you can use DRS with dry tires on a wet track, and that's what I did this morning. The commissioners wanted to understand this, in order to clarify the rules for the next race."

“I also made some suggestions to clarify the rules and make them safer; it was quite a useful visit” she added.

The meeting with Webber has always been linked to the use of DRS.
