Hamilton: “Happy with pole, but it wasn't a great lap”
The Englishman is halfway satisfied despite the pole
di Staff11 June, 2016
Lewis Hamilton says the lap that gave him pole position at the Canadian F1 GP wasn't fantastic. The Englishman preceded his teammate, Nico Rosberg, and Sebastian Vettel's Ferrari, today very close to the silver arrows.
“Qualifying wasn't great for me in terms of laps. My pole lap is definitely the worst of my pole position laps. However, I'm happy to still be on pole. In free practice there was much more of a gap and today, I didn't have the pace of yesterday but it was still sufficient" explained Hamilton.
