Haas doesn't discard the Patrick idea
The owner of the future F1 team open to any possibility
For his F1 debut the Haas he could focus on a woman.
Despite patron Gene has communicated several times that the decision on the pilots will be made only in September, the indiscretion of a contract with Danica Patrick, with him in Nascar in the team he co-owns with Tony Stewart, is gaining more and more strength.
“If the right sponsor arrived there would be no problems – he declared to Autosport – She is certainly a very strong character from a marketing point of view, let's say she is capable of selling anything, and furthermore she is well regarded in the paddock. However, I repeat that only at the end of the summer will we have a clearer idea of availability. It is obvious that it would be better to be able to contract with an expert, but we don't want to exclude anyone a priori. It would be fantastic to have an American at the start of the Texas GP."
Then on the work underway to create the single-seater he explained: "We have ordered a lot of material and now we are focusing on the equipment for the pit stops and the engine in collaboration with Ferrari."
Finally, he concluded on future partners: “At the moment we are not looking. Of course, everything has a price. Our goal is to become a premium team."
